Jessica Smith
Arizona SADD Coordinator
Arizona SADD

Board Director
The Joann Realmonte Coalition

Jessica Smith joined Arizona SADD in 1998 as the Arizona SADD Coordinator.  Her commitment to SADD began when she was in high school and continued through college.  Jessica’s passion for young people and the safety for all citizens stems from a near fatal crash involving her mother, where the driver of the other vehicle was under the influence.  From this near fatal crash was the start of Jessica’s involvement with impaired driving issues.

Jessica currently oversees 300 SADD Chapters across the state providing them with the best intervention and prevention tools available.  She has been recognized for her work in pilot programs between SADD National and the National Highway Safety Administration and SADD National and the Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention.  Locally, Jessica continues to develop programs in juvenile justice, law enforcement, prevention, and education through a variety of school agencies and groups.

Beyond the responsibilities of being the SADD Coordinator, Jessica dedicates time to serve on many committees.  She is a member of the Governor’s Traffic Safety Advisory Council, SADD National Board of Directors, serves as Chair of the Maricopa County Juvenile Courts Community Advisory Board and as the Co-Chair of the DUI Task Force.  In addition, Jessica was appointed to the Arizona Governor’s Traffic Safety Advisory Council under the direction of Governor Janet Napolitano.

While Jessica’s passion is young people, her true love is her family.  She has been married to Gary Smith for 12 years and has 3 beautiful children ages 5, 7 and 11.
